Hey everyone: I just passed 500 subscribers! Thirty-one of you are paying. I am beyond thankful and grateful. Just 19 days ago I posted—on March 11^th—about cracking 400. So obviously something is going right.

I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop on my progress and to say, I couldn’t do this without you.

Especially thank you to my paying subscribers: This is the first time in my writing life—which includes traditional publishing over the period of 13 years—that I’ve made as much as I am now for my passion. This is a game-changer.

If you really enjoy and value my work—and (key) you can reasonably afford it, please do consider going paid. I wish Substack allowed us to go lower than the $5/month or $50/year threshold but, at this moment at least, they don’t. This is highly, highly unlikely but, I might as well mention the “Founding Member” option, of $250/year. This would blow. My. Mind. Think of it as being a patron of the arts (which is what it in fact is).

Obviously, I don’t expect everyone to pay, and I don’t honestly expect anyone to choose the Founding Member option. But if you don’t ask you’ll never know! As Gretzky said: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Anyway: I 100% value every single reader and subscriber, free or paid.
