Punkers, but see if you can loosen up the justified back blurb going ragged right and move the front blurb with that (maybe edit down the "About" blurb to lead with the endorsement. That would give more room to pop up the cover photo, which is dynamic. Everyone flips a book over anyway, so you're not losing anything. I used to design and edit books.

Punkers is better – human faces, always human faces! You might want to rethink the negative space - it's overcrowded, far too many words, and there's some kind of competition going on between the title and the image, I don't know enough about to sign to say what. Good luck! I like those kids, I'm immediately interested in their cruel fates!

The Punkers cover is awesome but it very much skews YA, if that is a consideration for you.

It's YA! Teens in high school. Protag is 16.

Punkers unless ... maybe less is more, I envision THE CREW (yellow letters) in mega large letters with faces inside... (white overlay) give it a try, see if you like it, could even reuse the punk image.

Punks is more fitting, but books n beer, I suspect, will intrigue more readers from beyond that target audience. Congrats on the award by the way!

So... how old are they? I read the description on Amazon and thought they were college kids. The punks look younger than that to me, though there are some pretty young looking freshmen. Someone here said they are kids... so is this set at college or some other school age group? That's important.

High school. 16.

They both look good. The one without the beer if you're selling to minors (parents wouldn't like it, minors would) : )

So glad you’re doing this…will help on Amazon a lot! Top one is my pick…show the heroes…

You can do way-y-y-y-y better

than either of these.

The first repels, the second bores.

Go back to the drawing board

till MOST of your readers say YES!!!!!!!

to one of the two choices you offer.

Not the punks. They're just too baby faced. Ever notice how female models in ads are younger than the target audience, males are tougher, fantasy self images rule?

Not sure I love the books and beer, either though. The idea below might be okay: Punk, Lazyboy, beer, book... but maybe from the back, over the shoulder? Book is yours, beer label can be partly covered by hand (which is large, young male), and feet stretch out in back of the title, big black and beat up.

Just not the young baby faced punks, however...

Yes and yes.

They are kids. In the book. Just sayin.' Having read the book, I really like the punks! The beer makes no sense to me, and says nothing meaningful.

We have this on our library shelf now, and getting more folks in the department to check it out. It's on our "teachers-to-teachers" recommended read list, too. :)

Ah, I did look at that in the link... it looks vaguely sci fi to me. The closest I can think of it Blake Crouch Recursion but there are two others with the similar minimalist geometric vein. I do like the idea of getting something more apt to draw eye, the hand, and the curiosity.

I’d like to see a punk kicking back in his Lazyboy with a tall boy and a book in his hand.

Something from the era and recognizable geographically…that would be sick.
